KPMG is currently seeking an Associate/Senior Associate in Financial Risk Management - Credit Risk for our KPMG Risk Consulting practice.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed analysis of loan servicing including loan onboarding, investor reporting, custodial accounting, collections, portfolio retention, and loss mitigation alternatives and workouts
- Develop strategic and tactical recommendations based upon an understanding of loan operations’ rules, policies, and procedures as compared to industry practices
- Perform analysis of financial services loan account originations including underwriting, processing, closing, post-closing secondary marketing, loan documentation and collateral perfection, and quality control
- Conduct business process redesign and gap analyses
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate:
- Supervise and serve as a mentor to associates, new hires, and interns on engagements
- Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management
- Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper management
- Assist with project planning, development of deliverables, and other technical writing exercises
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of related work experience in lending, lending compliance, or lending audit functions in a financial services or consulting firm
- Bachelor’s Degree or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required
- Familiarity with loan loss reserving, loan grading systems, and credit analytics
- Strong written, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to compile detailed reports and professional presentations
- Travel may be up to 80-100%
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate:
- A minimum of three years of related work experience in a financial services or consulting firm
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Well-established understanding of business dynamics and regulations
- Experience in mortgage operations (origination, servicing and default)
- Project and change management experience
- Mortgage technology and data mapping experience
