KPMG is currently seeking a Director in Financial Services for our Management Consulting practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business development activities such as buyer and opportunity identification, sales and value proposition material creation, proposal development, pricing and profitability modelling, and statement of work creation in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Manage engagements according to KPMG’s financial and cost management policies and support delivery of advisory services, primarily with services related to Infrastructure and Cloud strategy, such as Private, Public, Hybrid Cloud, Network, Server, Storage, Database, Application Server Architecture, Automation, Orchestration, Service Management Tools, and Organization Impact and Design within financial services firms
- Develop, maintain, and manage client relationships with CIO, CTO, Head of Infrastructure, Head of Architecture, Head of IT Operations, Head of Production Support, Head of Distributed Computing, and other KPMG account stakeholders to proactively inform of solution capabilities and learn of account opportunities
- Manage, recruit, train, and mentor Advisory staff and adhere to professional practice requirements
- Define and build solution collateral around Infrastructure and Cloud Strategy
- Clearly and persuasively communicate recommendations to key project stakeholders, including client board members and senior management
Qualifications:
- A minimum of eight years of experience as a technical lead or architect responsible for large scale infrastructure/cloud design and architecture for large financial services (Capital Markets or Banking preferred) or in high-tech/telecoms environment
- Bachelor’s degree in either Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field from a top tier college; Master’s degree preferred
- Experience in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting new data center computing infrastructures including network, server virtualization, mainframe, storage, databases, java application servers, web servers, and virtual desktop infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure automation/orchestration technologies e.g. Chef, Puppet, BladeLogic, vRealize
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Fundamental understanding of full lifecycle management of infrastructure technologies and an ability to script to automate most manual tasks, travel may be up to 80-100%
