KPMG is currently seeking a Market and Technology Insights Director, to join our Global Services Center Organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all U.S. Advisory Innovation Market and Technology Insights (MTI) research including designing, implementing and managing all aspects of the innovation research function
- Work closely with the Advisory Innovation (AI) Managing Director to produce robust and actionable insights of the highest quality to support the firm’s evolving innovation agenda
- Support Advisory leadership and key stakeholders with a particular focus on establishing best practices to aid and support the U.S. Advisory innovation investment process
- Lead the development of a responsive market and competitive intelligence/research capability for AI; integrate with KPMG internal research teams and practitioner networks to translate market research into actionable insights for AI Service Groups and Industry Practices
- Support development of a new technology insight network; develop connectivity with leading VCs/disruptors to gain knowledge and access to market leading technologies; translate market and technology insight for AI relevance and success probability
- Conduct regular technology scanning and analysis via implementation of a new market assessment/watch capability
Qualifications:
- Minimum eight years of experience including five years of professional market and technology research experience preferably within a professional services firm
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management, Computer Science(s) or Information Technology/Security from an accredited college or university, Master's degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative research skills; proficient in statistical analysis with superior Microsoft excel skills
- Passionate about innovation with a good understanding of technology disruption and its likely impact on business/economic/policy/regulatory issues
- Knowledge of Bay Area tech start-up landscape is a plus
- Proven ability to lead and manage research teams with minimal support and guidance
