KPMG is currently seeking a Managing Director to join our Independence practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with lead audit engagement partners and KPMG audit clients on the resolution of questions regarding KPMG's compliance with professional independence standards, including those established by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
  • Lead and participate in various Independence Group projects and initiatives with a specific area of focus on assessing permissibility of non-audit services under the relevant independence rules
  • Document current and future states suggesting improvements to existing or new independence quality controls and processes
  • Develop, modify, and provide field training on firm-wide independence policies, communications, and guidance
  • Partner with national firm leadership to achieve Independence Group objectives
Qualifications:
  • Ten years of independence or compliance experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Licensed CPA or JD is preferred
  • Applied working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB audit standards is preferred
