KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Development Technical to join our KPMG Technology Organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive consultation to both business unit and IT management and staffs at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle
  • Accountable for the effectiveness, quality and the timeliness of project design decisions and how easily these solutions can be implemented
  • Provide day to day technical administration including upgrades and release management, analyze log files, config file changes, installation and configuration documents (runbook), upgrade validation/testing, change control, technical issue/problem resolution
  • May lead a small technical team
  • Act as an expert technical resource to development staffs in all phases of development and implementation process

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of experience as primary Technical Development Lead on medium to large size application development projects
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Extensive hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Technology: developing complex T-SQLs, stored procedures, performance tuning, building ETL jobs utilizing SSIS; familiarity with new SQL Server and SQL features
  • Clear understanding of Data Warehousing concepts; work experience building Data Warehouses is preferred; experience with data sourcing, including data error handling and data quality is required; data modeling experience using snowflake, star schema or similar is required; experience with enterprise schedulers like Autosys or Tivoli is a big plus
  • Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and team work
  • Strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans
