KPMG is currently seeking a Manager/Director in Financial Risk Management - Credit Risk for our KPMG Risk Consulting practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engagements to perform detailed analysis of full mortgage life-cycle operations including origination, underwriting, closing, secondary, servicing and loss management; scope may include business and technology architecture, business processes, business rules, systems, controls, compliance and other aspects of the environment
- Develop target state operating models, strategic and tactical recommendations, and implementation roadmaps, incorporating industry intelligence and best practices
- Identify and communicate technical and strategic matters to both clients and upper management
Additional Responsibilities for Director:
- Oversee various engagement personnel
- Regularly communicate with project sponsors and other interested client parties
- Manage various facets of engagement including risk management, project acceptance, billing, delivery, and collections
- Develop and sell new and existing clients, including development of marketing plans and sales strategies
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of related work experience in a financial services or consulting firm with mortgage industry experience related to lending and servicing operations, origination/servicing technologies, business/technology architecture, business process mapping, business rules and functional/technical design
- Good understanding of common project life cycle or software development life cycle methodologies desired
- Bachelor’s degree or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Travel may be up to 80-100%
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Additional Qualifications for Director:
- A minimum of eight years of related work experience in a financial services or consulting firm
- Well-established understanding of business dynamics and regulations
- Established network of industry contacts and business development opportunities
- Experience in mortgage pperations (origination, servicing and default)
- Project and change management experience
- Mortgage technology and data mapping experience
