KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, to join our Independence Organization.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire and apply knowledge regarding what is known as auditor independence rules in order to answer Independence-related inquiries and requests received from KPMG personnel via myriad channels
- Assist in defining, documenting, and implementing process and program management methodologies, for use by internal and external stakeholders while analyzing data and recommend actions based upon analysis
- Lead and participate in periodic, recurring, and ad hoc meetings with stakeholder groups, and communicate salient information to relevant Independence teams
- Build and successfully manage relationships with colleagues and stakeholders from myriad KPMG groups, such as Risk Management, client engagement teams, and IT; serve as point of contact for resources from stakeholder groups
- Liaise frequently with personnel working on projects to provide guidance during project execution, maintain insight regarding status of projects, keep projects on track, understand requirements, dependencies, deliverables, and timeframes, and recommend alternative solutions or approaches
- Identify and assist with implementation of process enhancements and improvements
Qualifications:
- Five years of experience in organizing, prioritizing, planning and executing multiple projects from definition through implementation
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, Master’s degree preferred and PMP or similar certification preferred
- Proven capacity to learn and apply complex rule sets, with intent of learning and applying what is known as the Auditor Independence regulations (SEC, PCAOB, AICPA) as well as the firm’s Independence rules
- Experience and proven ability to manage team members and projects successfully, and direct the work of others; effective and clear communication; ability to build relationships, networks, and credibility with numerous constituents
- Research, critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to evaluate and synthesize large amounts of information to make a decision
- Organizational skills with attention to details; adept with technology; proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
