KPMG is currently seeking a Manager in Forensic - Regulatory Enforcement & Compliance for our KPMG Risk Consulting practice.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct, manage, and support compliance auditing/monitoring programs and maintain knowledge and understanding of relevant industry regulations and guidelines
- Perform operational assessments of financial and clinical departments with a focus on documentation and coding, revenue capture, billing and claims, and quality reporting
- Maintain daily contact with client and other members of working group to obtain information and resolve issues, attend working group meetings, and facilitate the adoption and implementation of recommended improvements
- Prepare and review engagement work papers and develop written briefings and reports to present to healthcare clients and educate them on operational leading practices
- Conduct a ”deep dive” into details of a business while staying focused on the big picture
- Provide value-added recommendations to support the long-term growth of the department and supervise and mentor staff
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience in either Compliance or Internal Audit in a hospital, physician or healthcare consulting role; relevant experience with a Big Four accounting firm and/or experience within an Internal Audit department of a large multinational company is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college/university and advanced degree (i.e., MHA) or certification (i.e. RHIA, RHIT, CCS) is preferred
- Working knowledge of CPT/HCPCS, ICD-9, ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding, billing, and claims
- Exceptional interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior executives as well as strong client services orientation and accustomed to taking an active role in organizing and managing multiple engagement priorities
- Exceptionally-high professional and personal standards, unquestioned integrity, and business ethics to speak on significant issues and provide recommendations to drive change when necessary
- Travel may be up to 80-100%
