KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Tax Transformation practice.

Responsibilities:

• Work effectively with both client and firm personnel to provide analyses of data and apply analytical procedures to support tax planning and processes, resolve problems and otherwise derive value
• Assist with data acquisition, assess data quality, test data accuracy and reasonableness, identify relationships in disparate data and resolve discrepancies
• Manage data including handling data in unusual formats, converting data into a usable form, aggregate and disaggregate data as needed using database and other tools
• Perform analyses on large volumes of data, prepare models and calculations, as required
• Prepare documentation and analytical reports that effectively summarize and present procedures, assumptions, and conclusions
• Able to manage a team, interact directly with clients and other resources to obtain relevant data and documents in necessary forms consistent with project objectives and deadlines, review project deliverables, and resolve project issues

Qualifications:

• Five years of experience with accounting, data analysis, business processes and related datasets and database packages such as SQL Server, Oracle, SAS, Microsoft Access, or other
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience in Accounting/Finance, Applied Mathematics/Economics, Management Information Systems, or related curriculum
• Licensed CPA, J.D., LL.M, or certified in Six Sigma or one or more technology applications such as Microsoft Certified SQL DBA (MCSDBA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Oracle Database Certification (Please note: Any candidate hired by KPMG into this position that does not currently possess one of the aforementioned credentials/designations, will be required to secure one within one year from the commencement of employment)
• Strong analytical, research, statistical sampling, and quantitative abilities with working knowledge of source systems such as Oracle, SAP, and other systems
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communications and people skills, detail oriented, able to multi-task, follow through and work independently as well as within a team structure
• Ability to undertake moderate to extensive travel
