KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Tax Transformation practice.
Responsibilities:
- Work effectively with both client and firm personnel to provide analyses of data and apply analytical procedures to support tax planning and processes
- Assist with data acquisition, assess data quality, test data accuracy and reasonableness, identify relationships in disparate data and resolve discrepancies
- Manage data including handling data in unusual formats, converting data into a usable form, aggregate and disaggregate data as needed using database and other tools
- Perform analyses on large volumes of data, prepare models and calculations, as required
- Prepare documentation and analytical reports that effectively summarize and present procedures, assumptions, and conclusions
Qualifications:
- Three years of experience with accounting, data analysis, business processes and related datasets, and database packages such as SQL Server, Oracle, SAS, Microsoft Access, or other
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience in Accounting/Finance, Applied Mathematics/Economics, Management Information Systems, or related curriculum
- Working knowledge of source systems such as Oracle, SAP, and other systems
- Strong analytical, research, statistical sampling, and quantitative abilities
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communications and people skills, detail oriented, able to multi-task, follow through and work independently as well as within a team structure
- Ability to undertake moderate to extensive travel
