KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, to join our Events and Meetings Organization.
Responsibilities:
- Support the KPMG Family for Literacy (KFFL) national team and local office planning committees to create fundraising event concepts, goals, objectives, budget estimates/documentation, and desired outcomes in alignment with strategic initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with KFFL development planning committees helping to ensure service delivery is aligned and fully supports each office's priorities and goals for fundraising and awareness
- Manage the logistics involved with the execution of event details such as researching venues, negotiating contract terms, overseeing registration needs, planning menus, budgets and on-site logistics creativity
- Effectively meet deadlines established with the execution of a specific event while working within a matrixed and process heavy organization
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of events and meetings planning experience; preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience; CMP certification preferred
- Experience planning fundraising events and managing volunteer committees preferred
- Ability to establish relationships within a highly matrixed organization and with various levels of management; ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate with team members and clients in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with Cvent or similar meeting management software, Adobe and BidPal
- Ability to travel up to 35%
