KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Independence Organization.
Responsibilities:
- Learn auditor independence regulations (SEC, PCAOB, AICPA) in order to research and evaluate services provided to clients to identify potential conflicts with providing those services to audit clients and their affiliates
- Identify a company or organization’s affiliates / related entities and properly construct that company/organization’s corporate structure, such as parent, subsidiary
- Perform research, analyze data, make determinations, and document results/findings to support conclusions; learn and utilize proprietary and non-proprietary Information
- Collaborate with stakeholders from myriad KPMG groups, such as other KPMG member firms, client engagement teams, and IT
- Identify and assist with implementation of process enhancements and improvements
- Participate in special projects and processes on ad hoc and on-going bases
Qualifications:
- Three years’ experience working independently and with team members while handling competing priorities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience and ability supervising team members and overseeing projects; effective and clear communication with senior and junior personnel
- Experience in audit, tax, advisory, or consulting client service delivery role, compliance-related role, or similar professional experience
- Research, critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to evaluate and synthesize large amounts of information to make a decision
- Organizational skills with attention to details; adept with technology; proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
