KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, System Admin to join our KPMG Technology Group.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications
- Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions
- Recommend actions for fine tuning and capacity planning of existing systems
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new hardware and software developments; participate in the evaluation of alternative approaches and new software or modifications to enhance operations and development activities
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
- Interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and addresses impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of systems administrator experience; preferably in large Enterprise Level Data Centers
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
- Technical knowledge across various disciplines to resolve complex infrastructure integration issues and problems and interface with multiple vendors to coordinate resolution to both hardware and software problems; strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work in a high-pressure team environment, handle multiple tasks, and react quickly to problems and issues
- Demonstrated knowledge of Redhat 5/6/7 and Solaris 10/11 administration, volume management software (LVM, VxVM, ZFS), Solaris Zones, Unix patch management, ability to automate common tasks via shell scripting (Korn/Bash/Perl)
- Experience in Enterprise Class Solutions and services including Storage (EMC - Clarion CX series, VNX7500 (block and file), Isilon, Symmetrix - Vmax, Celerra NS Series, Centera, etc. ), EMC ECC/Ionix, HP 3 PAR, Cisco SAN Fabric, Veritas NetBackup, Data Domain, Enterprise Tape and disk based back-up infrastructure, VERITAS Volume Manager, EMC PowerPath, Multi-pathing configuration, Fail-Over, Replication
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and team work; ability to positively influence, mentor, and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members
