KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, document, and recommend client technological business requirements for implementing business development activities, sales and use tax compliance processes, and system improvements
- Combine recommended services with client’s financial system and business processes
- Design, test and troubleshoot indirect tax technology
- Possess technical awareness in State and Local Tax and Value Added Tax
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience with global indirect tax systems such as Sabrix,Vertex or Taxware and Global indirect tax process flows such as order to cash, procurement, master data, or inter-company transfers
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related course of study from an accredited college/university
- Possess a broad industry background including retail, financial services, manufacturing and telecommunications; hands-on experience with various business development activities and tax software
- Strong skills in indirect tax information systems, including strong project management skills and the ability to analyze client business needs
- Advanced ERP (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft) systems experience especially in the AR/AP and GL modules
- Self-motivated with the ability to generate and plan work effort and manage project schedules and priorities with clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to travel thirty percent of the time
